Pharmaceutical Rep Scheduling Process

Pharmaceutical Reps must now use our SPC web based Portal to schedule their visits to SPC.

This requires that each rep create an SPC Portal account and get it activated by our staff.

To obtain a portal account, click here to send an email to Stephanie Wren with the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Date of Birth
  • Company Name
  • Product(s) Name
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address
  • Stephanie will then register you in our system and send a Portal invitation to your email address that will contain the instructions to complete the portal account activation process and then you will be able to log in and view rep schedule openings and request visits.

    Lunch Visits: Intended for detailing

    1 lunch visit per day is available from 11:45 to 1:00 M-F. Rep are invited to be in the doctors lounge and meet with the Providers to present new drug information. Guest Speakers and non-pharmacy companies are NOT allowed to schedule lunches without prior approval from our Clinical Manager Kathy Johns.

    If you schedule a lunch visit you are expected to arrange adequate food for the staff and providers- 50 people. Please arrange caterers to be here by 10:45 am.

    ***Please do not disturb the staff for signatures after lunch when they are back at their workstations. If your company requires signatures, then you will need to catch the staff while they are on their breaks in the lunch room.***

    Note: Our Doctors may have prior commitments or hospitalized patients to attend and all of them may not be available to attend. Doctors who can't attend a lunch will make an effort to come in and sign any med delivery or lunch attended documents.

    Some lunch rules we request that you follow:

    Maximum 2 people total from your company without prior approval from Kathy Johns.

    Pharmaceutical Reps are not to enter Provider areas until 11:45am and must leave by 1:00pm.

    Each company should not schedule more than 2 lunch/detailing appointments per month.

    Morning Scheduled Visits: Intended to restock sample closets.

    There is one morning visit available daily from 7:15 to 8:30 M-F and each visit includes access to both floors. Reps are expected to not detail the providers during these visits. Please use lunch visits if you plan on detailing.

    1st floor- Reps are expected to be out of all Provider areas by 8am. You are expected to not interfere with the Physicians/Patient appointment schedule. Dr. Gaston, Jr. starts seeing patients at 7:00. If you interfere with the Providers seeing their scheduled patients, then you will be asked to leave their area.

    2nd floor- Reps are expected to be out of all Provider areas by 8:30 am. Dr. Major, Dr. Hamby and Dr. Pak start at 8:00, and Dr. Milligan starts at 8:15.

    Emergency Calls:

    If a Provider or their nurse contacts you for additional samples and you agree to bring them in, you must check in at the front desk of that Provider's floor. The front desk will contact that Provider's nurse, and they will accept the samples. If a signature is required, then the Provider's nurse will come out and get you.
